Angela D. Taylor, Director
Angela D. Taylor, Ph.D., a Licensed Professional Counselor, has served as Director of the Alcohol & Drug Education Center at Texas Christian University (TCU) since September 1994. Prior to accepting this position, she spent 13 years at the University of North Texas (UNT) where she served as Substance Abuse Counselor for the NT Challenge Program and Teaching Fellow for the Counselor Education Department. Dr. Taylor was the Texas Regional Coordinator for the Network Addressing Collegiate Alcohol and Other Drug Issues from 1994 through 2006; is a Center Associate for the U.S. Department of Education's Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention; and serves on the Board of Directors of the Tarrant County Challenge. Dr. Taylor has consulted with local and state educational and government agencies including the Texas Department of State Health Services. In 1995, the ADE Center at TCU was selected as having one of the top six prevention programs in higher education by a U. S. Department of Education FIPSE analysis team.
Dr. Taylor received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Health from Texas A&M University and her Master of Science in Sport Psychology from UNT. She received her Ph.D. in Counselor Education from UNT in 1998, where her dissertation was nominated to the graduate council for the Outstanding Dissertation Award.
Kimberly ‘Sparkle’ Greenhaw, Associate Director-Clinical Services
Sparkle Greenhaw, Ph.D., is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. She has worked at TCU since August 1995. Prior to her position in ADE, Sparkle worked at TCU in Residential Services as a Residence Hall Director.
Sparkle is the current Member at Large for the Texas College Counseling Association, Graduate Student Committee Chair for the American College Counseling Association, member of the International Collaboration Committee for the American College Counseling Association, and a member of the North Texas Consortium on Substance Abuse in Higher Education.
Sparkle received her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Samford University. She earned her Master of Education and Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of North Texas (UNT). Her specialty areas include college counseling, student development, and substance abuse.
Yvonne L. Giovanis, Assistant Director-Prevention Services
Yvonne received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southern Methodist University, and her Master of Education in Counseling and Guidance, with an emphasis in Student Affairs & Higher Education, from Texas State University, San Marcos. Yvonne oversees the education, prevention and outreach efforts for the Center. She works with several community coalitions through Tarrant County Challenge, and is an active member of NASPA (National Association of Student Personnel Administrators) and Leadership Fort Worth.
Debbie Malone, Administrative Assistant
Debbie manages the office, scheduling appointments and is your first contact when visiting or calling. She has been at TCU since November 2005 and worked 16 years in the communication field for Southwestern Bell Corporation.
