involved. not over involved!

To be involved means an understanding of all the steps necessary for meaningful and effective connections with the community.  This does not mean over committing yourself.  Please browse this site to gain a new perspective of involved or stop by the Student Center room 220 to learn more.

College Student for a Day

College Student For a Day

Each semester TCU hosts middle school and high school students from around Fort Worth to give them a taste of what it is like to be a college student.  For many of the students, it is their first time to be on a college campus.  TCU students meet them in the morning, take them to class, show them their residence halls, the rec center and have lunch with them as each student receives their very own meal card!

Alternative Spring Break

Alternative Spring Break

What are you doing for Spring Break?  Come make a difference building homes in an impoverished part of Colorado set in San Luis Valley.

What is an Alternative Spring Break?

Quotes from previous participants

"I like telling people 'I built a house' for Spring Break'" "We started off with just a concrete foundation and not really knowing the group..by the end of the week we pretty much had a house and we were pretty much like family."  Joanna Bernal, Class of 2008

"I thought the greatest part about our trip was our ability to unite in our efforts.  We came together as a bunch of individuals from all different backgrounds and we left Mobile as a group of friends who teamed up to make a difference.  Going off of the TCU mission statement we in fact did "think and act as ethical leaders and responsible citizens in the global community."  We represented our university through our work and made a difference because we all felt a sense of moral responsibility to help our fellow man."   Matt Corder, Class of 2009
