Check-in information:

Check-in for Frog Camp London will be at 5:30 p.m. on June 30 in the lobby of Foster Residence Hall on TCU's campus (the same spot as Orientation check-in). We'll spend the night in Foster and then leave for London the next day. If you're attending Orientation Session 10 you'll be finished in time to join us for camp. Please fill out and bring with you to check-in TCU's study abroad information sheets - you can download them here.

Travel information:

We'll fly to London on American Airlines flight 78, which leaves DFW at 7:20 p.m. on July 1. We'll return to the States on American Airlines flight 79, which arrives at DFW at 5:10 p.m. Frog Camp will officially end at DFW, so please make arrangements to be picked up or fly out from there.

Don't forget your passport! Before you come, make a copy of it and leave the copy with your family. That makes it a lot easier if you lose yours while we're abroad.

Money:

Your London camp fee will cover everything with the exception of six lunches while we are in London. These are the only meals you'll be responsible for. An average lunch in London runs between 7-15 pounds ($15-30). Most places will take your credit and debit cards (and this gives you the best exchange rate). We recommend having about 50 pounds in cash to cover any place that will not - we'll exchange money once we arrive. It's also a good idea to call your credit card company and notify them you'll be travelling abroad so that they're not alarmed when international charges start appearing.

Packing:

You can download a packing list for Frog Camp London here. Some things to keep in mind:

• Don't overpack! You will be allowed 1 checked bag and 1 carry on bag. You must be able to carry all of your own luggage.
• We'll be walking a lot, and many of the streets are cobblestone. Comfortable shoes are a good idea. High heels aren't.
• You'll need one nice outfit to wear to the theatre on the first night and to our closing reception. This means collared shirts (for the guys), pants or a skirt (for the ladies), and no jeans. Casual clothes are fine for the rest of the trip.
• When you check-in we'll give you a camp t-shirt, a Frog Camp London windbreaker, and a journal for the trip.
• Our housing provides linens, sheets, towels, pillows, and things like that. You'll need to pack your own toiletries and don't forget any medications you might need.
• Anything that you want to plug in will need a UK power converter.
• Don't forget a camera! You should get some great pictures from this trip.

If an emergency arises while you're at Frog Camp and your family needs to get ahold of you, they can call TCU Police at 817.257.7777. This number is answered 24 hours a day, and the dispatcher will be able to connect you with our on-site staff.
