Frog Camp Facilitator- www.frogcamp.tcu.edu

 

What?  Frog Camp Facilitators work team up to co-facilitate small groups at each Frog Camp. Facilitating at Frog Camp is a great way to develop yourself through hours of training and have a blast along the way meeting new students.

 

How?  Applications go out online in mid-November. Watch for fliers in the BLUU as well as other advertisements.

What?  Frog Camp Directors plan each camp from start to finish and do everything from staffing to logistics.

 

How?  Frog Camp Director applications are available on an individual basis to returning Frog Camp staff. Contact John-Mark Day at j.day@tcu.edu for more information. Applications are active late in the Fall semester.

Orientation Student Assistant- www.orientation.tcu.edu

 

What?  OSAs are the first student leaders that incoming students are in contact with. OSAs train all Spring and make orientation happen in June, August, and January.

 

How?  OSA applications go out online in October/November. Watch for fliers in the BLUU as well as other advertisements.

Leadership for Life Coach- www.sds.tcu.edu/lfl.asp

 

What?  Leadership for Life will pair first-year students with an upperclassman student coach who is trained to encourage, inspire, motivate, challenge and support you to enhance your leadership effectiveness and become more successful in school and in life. You will receive one-on-one mentoring with a successful upperclassman as it fits your schedule - you set the meeting times.

Connections Mentor- www.connections.tcu.edu 

 

What? Connections Mentors are an important step in the first-year experience for incoming TCU students. Mentors are paired up to lead small group meetings and activities for the first few weeks of the Fall semester.

 

How? Connections Mentor applications will be available in the Spring. Watch for advertisements around the BLUU.

What? Outfitters is the Student Organization Peer Consulting Program at TCU. Outfitters provide organizational and leadership advancement as well as OrgSync support to organizations and their leadership.

Chancellor's Leadership Program - www.leadership.tcu.edu

 

What? The Chancellor's Leadership Program (CLP) is a 3.5 year cohort leadership development program guided by the Social Change Model of Leadership Development (SCM).  Throughout the program, CLP Fellows are expected to complete a number of activities, including identifying their passion(s), embracing their leadership style and strengths, participating in leadership development seminars, community service, and the completion of a Social Change Project. Upon completion of the program, Fellows are prepared to live the TCU Mission Statement and are equipped with the knowledge and skills to create positive change in their communities on a local, national and global scale.

 

How? CLP has a two step application process which opens in the Fall semester. CLP offers a cohort of first year students an opportunity to commit to a program of social change and learning that will contribute to their education and their communities. What?  Leadership Seminars are a great way to start learning about how to be an effective leader in our global community. Starting with Connections, students can learn about leadership from different perspectives from professionals all over campus.

 

How?  There are 2 sessions of seminars per semester and registration is on my.tcu.edu. Check out the Leadership website (www.leadership.tcu.edu) to learn about each seminar and how to earn the designation as Leadership Scholar at TCU.
