Q: What does it mean to be a “recognized” organization?
A: Being “recognized” means that your organization can function at TCU. You can reserve room space, utilize billboards on campus, use other media that the university offers and have the opportunity to apply for university funding. In order to retain recognized status, your organization must abide by all university policies and attend mandatory training every fall semester. 
Q: How do I reserve a room on campus?

Q: How do I go about getting a Tax identification number for my organization?
A: If your organizatoin plans to sell any goods including t-shirts, hats, etc, call the Texas State Comptrollers office at 817-847-6201. If you need a Tax ID for bank account purposes only, you can apply online thorugh the IRS website

Q: How do I get web space for my organization?
A: Visit The following web page: http://webrequest.tcu.edu/webpolicy.htm. Have your advisor fill out the form, then contact Victor Neil at v.neil@tcu.edu or Elaine Tubre at e.tubre@tcu.edu in publications. They should be able to help you out from there.
Q: How do I change the name of my organization?
A: Submit the name change request to our department. The proposed change will then have to be made by the Student Organizations Committee.
