TCU Leadership Council Application
2008-2009

In addition to completing the application, candidates are required to participate in an interview process on 4/15 or 4/16 between 3-6 PM in Student Center #220. 

A sign-up sheet for interviews will be at the front desk in SC #220 as of 4/7.  Contact Natasha Chapman at x6659 for details.

Applications are due by 5PM on Monday April 14th.

Final decisions will be made by Friday, April 18th.  Candidates will be notified via e-mail.

Application Criteria & Responsibilities

1.      Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.

2.      Interest in expanding current participation in Leadership Center programs (Connections, Chancellor’s Leadership Program, Leadership Classes, etc.).

3.      Attendance at the TCU Leadership Institute & Celebration of University Leadership during your term.

4.      Attendance at all weekly Council meetings on Tuesday evenings between 6-8PM and Fall & Spring retreats (dates TBD).

5.      Active participation in the selection, facilitation, and coordination of all Council projects.

6.      Completion of at least one Leadership Center class while serving on Council.

7.      Ability to attend the last Council meeting this year on 4/22/08 in SC #211 at 7:00pm.

Leadership Council roles include:

  • Serving the Center as an advisory board

  • Facilitating and contributing to existing programs, classes and events for student leadership development

  • Planning and hosting the annual Leadership Institute Dinner for approximately 250 guests

  • Assessing need for leadership development on campus, and addressing this need through programs and workshops.

  • Participation in leadership development opportunities such as leadership classes and conferences

  • Training and serving as a peer educator about leadership topics
