The
State of Leadership Conference strives to be one of the premiere
leadership conferences in the State of Texas. Every year,
the State of Leadership focuses on building the skills necessary
for students to become change agents within their communities.
Using the Social Change Model of Leadership Development, the
State of Leadership allows for free-flowing conversations that
may inspire unique approaches to problem solving.
Furthermore, participants design an action plan based on areas
of interest that have included, but are not limited to:
Education
Nonprofit
Social Justice
Business
Government
Environment
Healthcare
Our Keynote Speaker - Ronald C. Parker
As a Senior vice President for PepsiCo, Ron is responsible for the human resource programs involving such things as succession planning, organizational capability, labor relations and human capital maximization. He also leads and chairs the PepsiCo Diversity and Inclusion Governance Council for North America.
Ron began his career as Assistant to the Vice President at American Quasar Petroleum. He then moved to the staff of Texas Christian University as Assistant Director of Athletics in charge of national recruitment. He then joined an emerging petroleum services company, the Western Company of North America, where he focused on national recruitment and employee development. In 1982, he joined Pepsi-Cola Bottling a Human Resources manager and went on to hold a variety of positions in his 25 years with the corporation
A native Texan, Ron Parker earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from TCU in 1976, where he now serves on the International Board of Visitors and the TCU Board of Trustees.

Travel
& Accommodations
Participating universities and delegates will be responsible for
travel arrangements and travel expenses.

Attire
Casual
attire is appropriate for all working sessions and programs.
Please
select five distinguished students from your institution and
complete this online registration. Selected students should have a
strong academic and leadership record. Sophomore or junior
status is preferred. If you are interested in sending more
than five students, please contact Laura Thomas at 817-257-7855.
Individual
registration is also encouraged and will be accepted by the system.
Space is limited. Registration will be filled on a first come,
